The actual distance between the two places is not great, probably little more than ten miles, measuring as the crow flies; but the path skirts precipitous cliffs, mountain-sides, and the bases of frowning crags, or else wends its tortuous way through highland glens beside the banks of the stream that flows through the valley of Kalopaanagiotissa...'
