Grey cloth-covered photograph album containing 96 small snapshots inserted in aperture mounts, with list of captions inserted. Enlargements of the most interesting prints can be found in Mss Eur C481/3-9, where a detailed listing can found. Subjects include architecture, topographical views, village scenes and portraits of family and friends at Jhansi (1922-26), Meerut (1927-32), Delhi (1927-32), Hardwar (1928-32), Mussoorie (1928-29) and Dehra Dun (1928-29).
Mary E. Hunter (née Brown) was the wife of Charles Frederick Hunter (b. 1887), Indian Service of Engineers 1909-40 and relate to her tape-recorded interview (Mss Eur R188), which together illustrate her life in India.
