Werge Thomas Collection: Views of Delhi illustrating incidents of the Indian Mutiny.

Collection of 10 loose prints, most mounted on card, captioned in ink on the mounts. Print 1 is the work of Felice Beato. Prints 2-6, showing locations in Delhi associated with the Mutiny, appear to have been taken shortly after the event by an unidentified photographer. Prints 7-9 are miscellaneous later views. Print 10 is a modern copy of a Beato photograph of the interior of the Sikandarbagh at Lucknow (originally incorrectly identified as Delhi).
