‘Ahaetulla nasuta’
Original inscriptions: ‘Green Snake. This kind of Snake will never bite but will sting on the Appele of Eye of a Man by which man will be blind and poison will increase and trouble Him – a good medicine ahould be applied to both trouble – this Snake continually lives in green leaves. This will be very useful to witch craft man and also to Doctor for some medicine – this creature eats sparrows & other small kinds of birds.’
