Note: The engagement is described in detail in H.T. Prinsep's ‘Political and military transactions in India, 1813-1823,’ vol 1, pp.201-2. This battle, fought only twenty miles south of Kathmandu, resulted in the signing of the treaty between Sir David Ochterlony and the Gurkhas on 3rd March 1816.
