Siva, three-eyed, white and two armed, wearing a yellow dhoti, a necklace of skulls, snakes, and the moon in his hair, a blue spot on his throat, with the Ganges issuing from his topknot, holding a drum in his right hand, his left resting on his knee, his trident upright beside him, seated on a tiger skin with Parvati beside him, she holding a lotus, inside a cave in the mouton Kailasa. Both are haloed. His bull Nandi rests in front of them beside the river.
Inscribed in Persian: ‘mahadiv. parbati.’
‘5. Mahdaio his wife Parbutty and the bull Nandigawn his usual monture, he is represented with this usual attributes in a grot on the mountain Kailas purbat.’

Note: The mountain here and in no. 5 is composed of upwardly straining rocks, of white outlined with green to represent the shadows, with a tree trunk growing out of the top and disappearing beneath the frame. Spots of gold outlined with colour suggest the rocks are rich in gold and jewels.
