Krishna sitting on the lower branch of a four-branched kadam tree, playing a flute and with the clothes of the milkmaids dangling around him. Two birds in the tree, each shoot with a red bud. Below him, six milk-maids standing in blackish water, five fishes and two water-pots faintly visible in it; all six milkmaids with yellow skin, three wholly nude, three nude save for brief blouses. Four milkmaids raising their hands as if to attract Krishna’s attention.
