The Baha festival. A Santal woman washing the feet of the priest after his return from the grove; the priest has his foot on a wooden stool and holds a sprig of sal-tree blossom and a winnowing fan. Behind him a Santal villager with a pot on his shoulder. To the left a third villager. Below, two Santal drummers with ‘tamak and tumdak’’ facing four Santal women holding hands and dancing in a line, each woman with a sprig of sal-tree blossom in her hair.
