Ruler-case containing six ivory rulers, with silver plaque on lid inscribed: ‘Presented at the Public Examinations on the 9th Dec. 1853 to Gentleman Cadet F.L. Tandy by the Honble. Court of Directors of the East India Company, as a mark of the Court’s approbation of his attainments in Civil Drawing while at the Military Seminary.’
Box: wood covered with red leather, with blue velvet inserts, and silver plaque on lid, 17.5 by 4.5 by 4 cm; ivory rulers: rulers 16 by 2.5 cm.
