Album (ff.1-91) in red leather covers with brass clasps, and a paper label pasted on the front inscribed: ‘Wm Eden.’ Some pages with 1809 watermark, drawings in water-colour unless described otherwise.

Note: Ann Harvey Taylor, nee Petrie, married Captain Thomas William Taylor, H.M 24th Regiment Light Dragoons, at Madras in January 1810. Captain Taylor was Military Secretary to the Governor-General, Lord Minto, and the latter was a witness at their wedding. The couple lived at Government House, along with sons and daughters-in-law of Lord Minto. Ann Petrie was the daughter of William Petrie, Madras Civil Service, Acting Governor of Madras, 1807.
