THIS man, who appeared to be very kindly regarded and respected by the gentlemen attached to the Mission at Kemendine, was physiognomically marked by more of hardness and firmness than, probably, generally characterizes the very interesting and mysterious tribe of people to whom he belongs.
During the last struggle with the Burmese he was the Commander-in-Chief of the Karen forces, and is stated to have been in five battles, and to have had two horses shot under him.
