Portrait of the abbot and another figure seated at the entrance to a tent: 'The Abbot was sent by the Tashi Lama to meet the Mission. He was a very placid tempered individual, and said he did not know why he had been sent on this work, as his work was purely devotional, and that he knew absolutely nothing of politics or the world. This photograph was taken in his own tent.' Another copy (printed in platinum) at Photo 430/53 (10).
