Half red leather album with marbled paper boards, measuring 264 x 320 x 22 mm. The album originally belonged to Mlle Amélina Petit de Billier, the Talbot family's governess and close friend. Inscribed on the inside end paper, possibly in her hand: 'Vue photographiques par l'inventeur du Calotype/ W. Henry Fox Talbot Esquire/ appartenant à Melle A. P'. The album contains 29 prints; however several of the pages are blank, with clear signs of photographs having been removed.
