- Memorial in Manchu from Lieutenant-General Hailing (海齡) to the Daoguang Emperor, dated 1842.
- Scope & Content:
- A memorial, in Manchu, addressed to the Daoguang Emperor inside an envelope of Imperial yellow silk. The envelope gives the date, Daoguang 22 (1842) [4th day of the 4th month of the 22nd year of the reign of the Doro Eldengge Hūwangdi] and a description of the contents [one letter]: Doro eldengge-i orin juwaci aniya duin biyai ice duin, elhe baire bukdari emke, dolo (ᡩᠣᠷᠣ ᡝᠯᡩᡝᡢᡤᡝ ᡞ ᠣᠷᡞᠨ ᠵᡠᠸᠠᠴᡞ ᠠᠨᡞᠶᠠ ᡩᡠᠢᠢᠨ ᠪᠢᠶᠠᡳ ᡞᠴᡝ ᡩᡠᠢᠢᠨ ᠂ ᡝᠯᡥᡝ ᠪᠠᠢᠢᠷᡝ ᠪᡠᡴᡩᠠᠷᡳ ᡝᠮᡣᡝ ᠂ ᡩᠣᠯᠣ). On the front of the letter is written ᠋'Memorial' (wesimburengge, ᠸᡝᠰᡞᠮᠪᡠᠷᡝᡢᡤᡝ). The memorial enquires after the health of the Emperor, who replies in vermillion ink, 'My health is good' (mini biye elhe, ᠮᡞᠨᡞ ᠪᡞᠶᡝ ᡝᠯᡥᡝ).
