Copies of letters from Governor General Charles Canning to various correspondents. Nos. 1-6 are written from Allahabad, nos. 7-45 from Calcutta and Barrackpore. Nos. 46 - were written on tour, from Camp Banthura (20 Oct), Camp Alumbagh (21 Oct), Camp Urwul (8 Nov), Mynpoorie (20 Nov), Camp Aroun? (22 Nov), Camp Agra (3 Dec), Camp Sasnee (12 Dec), and Camp Meerut (20 Dec).
