Photographs from three productions:
- (1). Ivan Turgenev, A Month in the Country. 19 February 1952 for 5 nights, at A.D.C. Theatre, Cambridge. Joan Rowlands [Bakewell] played Vera Alexandrovna. Two black and white photographs (A and B) each 110 x 155 mm. Photograph B is annotated in pencil by Bakewell on the verso, indicating members of the cast on stage. Bakewell appears in both photographs.
- (2). Oscar Wilde, The Importance of Being Earnest. 11-16 August 1952, at the Civic Playhouse, Cheltenham. Joan Rowlands [Bakewell] played Cecily. Five black and white photographs (C-G). Photographs C-F are 90 x 140 mm; photograph G is 160 x 210 mm. Bakewell appears in four photographs.
- (3). William Shakespeare, King Lear. Production not indicated. Seven black and white photographs (G-M, copyright stamp on the versos), each 110 x 155 mm. With buff envelope annotated by Bakewell: 'Michael [Bakewell] as the Fool'. Also, an additional photograph (N), 115 x 155 mm, from a different play.
