Commentary by ʿAlī ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿAli al-Ḥusaynī al-Jurjānī ( علي بن محمد بن علي الحسيني الجرجاني; d. 1413), known as al-Sayyid al-Sharīf (السيد الشريف), on the al-Mulakhkhaṣ fī ‘ilm al-hay’ah al-basīṭah (الملخص في علم الهيئة البسيطة), an elementary textbook of astronomy by Sharaf al-Dīn Maḥmūd ibn Muḥammad ibn ‘Umar al-Jaghmīnī al-Khwārizmī (شرف الدين محمود بن محمد بن عمر الجغميني الخوارزمي; fl. early 13th century). The text contains numerous diagrams.
This copy is defective at the beginning, with the text starting abruptly near the beginning of the text (cf. British Library, Add. MS 23397, f. 4v, line 19).
The text contains the following diagrams:

- (2) The spheres of the Sun and Venus (f. 9r);
- (3) The spheres of Mercury and the Moon (f. 9v);
- (4) An epicycle (f. 26r);
- (5) Apparent motion of the stars (?) (f. 27r);
- (6) Apparent motion of the stars (?) (f. 28r);
- (7) A planetary circuit with epicycles (f. 33r);
- (8) The climes (f. 47v);
- (9) Eclipse (f. 61r);
- (10) Azimuth of the qiblah (f. 62r).

مقصودًا بالذات في هذا الفن أو يتوفق عليه المقصود إذ الخارج عنهما لا يتعلق به غرض
منها فالثاني هو المقدمة والأول اما أن يتعلق بالأجسام الفلكية وهو المقالة الأولى
أو بالعنصرية وهو المقالة الثانية وتوضيح هذا المقام يستدعي زيادة بسط في الكلام
Ends (f. 65v, lines 11-14):
... ثم ضربوا ذلك في إثنى عشر فجعل أيام السنة القمرية
الاصطلاحية ثلثمائة وأربعة وخمسين يومًا وخمس يوم وسدسه وهذه
السنة ناقطة (!) من السنة الشمسية الحقيقية بعشر أيام وعشرين ساعة و
نصف ساعة بالتقريب والله أعلم بحقيقة الحال والله (!) المصير والمآل
