- (2). Eight letters [c. 1950s] from grandparents, Brightman Street, Gorton, Manchester. Some letters addressed to 'Joan and Michael', and one refers to Joan's 24th birthday [1957].
- (3). Six family letters with envelopes (June 1951) to Bakewell at Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport (for appendix operation), and one letter with envelope from E. Crossley (Bakewell's school-teacher).
- (4). Seven family letters with envelopes (Oct-Dec 1951) addressed to Bakewell at Newnham College, Cambridge.
