Correspondence, photographs (Pinter's interview on Late Night Line-Up) and various items by and concerning Harold Pinter in relation to his appearance in Bakewell, The Centre of the Bed (2003).
(1). Correspondence:
- David Hare. Two typed letters signed (18 August and 11 October 1996). The first letter objects to a remark by Bakewell about Hare that is quoted in Michael Billington, The Life and Work of Harold Pinter (1996), p. 287. The second letter thanks Bakewell for her 'courteous letter' (not in the file) and notes that Billington has agreed to remove the remark from future editions (revision carried through).
- Geoffrey Cannon. Two detailed e-mail messages (both 30 December 2002) offering advice about Bakewell's presentation of her Pinter material (and Pinter's stance with regard to including quotations from his work). Bakewell's reply (1 January 2003) is included.
- Henry Woolf. Correspondence preceded by a typed narrative summary by Bakewell entitled 'How It was with Henry Woolf' ( 2 sheets). - S. Capon. Printed e-mail message to Bakewell, 10 April 2002. Copied extract from unidentified interview with Pinter regarding Joseph Losey and David Mercer and the revelation of the relationship between Pinter and Bakewell.
- Empty envelope addressed (typed) to Bakewell. Annotated 'By hand' and 'Sept 22.03'.
- Gitte [Brigitte Tretera, former au pair]. Undated Christmas card with message including comment on Pinter.

- Photocopied excerpts from Peter Hall's Diaries (1983). Diary entries for 1975 (pp. 152-5, 160-1), 1978 (pp. 334-5, 382-5, 388-91), and 1979 (pp. 414-5). The selections, which include Bakewell's underlinings, refer to Pinter's new relationship with Antonia Fraser and to Hall's rehearsals for Pinter's Betrayal.
