A 210 mm high silver statue of Tangtong Gyalpo on a brass lotus throne. The statue is (unusually) not wrapped in cloth or kataks but decorated only with a folded five rupee note. It has quite elaborate engraved detail including folds of silver clothing and he is holding green-jewelled long life red vase (tse bum) in his left hand. Tangtong Gyalpo’s face is golden, his hair white, his lips pink. He has very long earrings dangling from pierced ears. The statue is relatively new, apparently bought in Leo in Kinnaur about 30 years ago. The trident headed skewer / Katamka (khtram kha) that might have accompanied this statue has been borrowed by Meme Tsering-pa from Par. One statue
The material is owned by Chherring (Tsering) Angchuk and has been handed down from father to son through several generations. All the materials in the archive are kept within the prayer room of the house.
