- This manuscript contains the prayers offered to the household deities i.e., the forefathers of the family. The very first line of the the first folio begins by alluding to the forefathers of the family.It is said the soul of the dead has flew like dove and rests in the maidam for a period of 10 days. And after a period of 10 days when the power of the soul has diminished it is given a place in the house as a protector of the house. However, only after a period of 20 days he becomes a complete protector diety of the house.
