- Phai Lung is a khon (spirit) calling and water purifying manuscript. In Assamese it is called the Bor Phai puthi. The manuscript has been titled Phai Lung because that phrase is repeated many times. On the last page it is written Phonidhar Gogoi Puthi, bhadot likile, meaning 'Phonidhar Gogoi wrote this book in August/September.' On the last line it is written chu man ramphong mui, si rai dai mui pin chau (rai dai means 'disappeared'). Bhado month according to the Assamese calendar, mid August to mid September according to the english calendar.
