- 'A Memorial to Indian Soldiers'. Printed copy of a letter by John Otter to the Times (7 Sep 1921), appealing for further funds.
- Sussex Daily News (21 May 1932): 'Brighton Mourns Death of Sir John Otter'.
- Obituary: 'Death of Sir John Otter: Wartime Mayor of Brighton'.
(2). Autograph letter (in pencil, no date) from a young Peter Self (born 1919) to his grandfather Sir John Otter. With envelope. Requests that his grandfather comes to stay so that he can take him to 'the exhibition' (probably the British Empire Exhibition, Wembley Park, 1924-5).
