- 26 Oct 1949. Typed letter from British Electricity Authority to Lady Self. Invitation to perform launching ceremony.
- 5 Dec 1949. Telegram from British Electricity Authority to Lady Self, sending best wishes.
- Typed 'Launching Details'.
- Black and white photograph (145 x 250 mm) of the Mendip on the water.
- Bespoke album of four mounted black and white photographs of the launching, with covering letter (22 Dec 1949) from S. P. Austin & Son Ltd., Shipbuilders, Sunderland.
