Letters received by Peter Self from his (third) wife, Sandra Self (Sandra Gough, née Moiseiwitsch). In 1982, Peter Self was appointed Senior Research Fellow at the Australian National University in Canberra. The earliest item (1980) is a prose account of the rekindling of their relationship after thirty-one years, entitled 'A True Love Story'. The letters include several communications in the form of rhymed verse, and the letters employ the pet names 'Wol' and 'Pooh':
