Correspondence between the Ministry of Defence and Peter Self regarding the whereabouts of a missing Report (Cmnd 3825, 1921) concerning the R101 Enquiry (British airship crash). The Report was received in 1974 by Sir Henry Self on loan from the Public Record Office, in order to refresh his memory before answering the historical research questions of a Professor Meyer. Peter Self was unable to find the report among his father's papers. According to the letter of 17 Sep 1975 from the Ministry of Defence, 'the copy loaned to your father appears to be the only one in existence'. The earliest two letters (1974) in the file are addressed to Sir Henry (who died 15 Jan 1975).
