Copy letters and extracts (12 August, 1808 – 26 July, 1809). Copies of correspondence intercepted on being sent between members of the exiled Bourbon family and their court in Gothenberg, Sweden, and Gosfield or Hartwell House in England. Principal correspondents are, King of France, Duc d'Angouleme, Comte d'Avaray, Comte de la Châtre, Duc d’Havre, Duc de Piennes and L'archevêque de Reims. Letters in French and English.
Letter (24 August, 1808) from Duc d’Havre to King of France is part encrypted (cypher).
Copy letters and notes (3 – 18 August, 1808). ‘Original papers’ from the ‘Count de la Chatre’ and ‘the Count d’Avaray’ passed on to ‘Adrian Jacome’ and ‘Juan Ruiz de Apodaca’. Documents numbered 1, 3, 4 and 5. In French and English.Translated extract (8 September, 1808) to ‘J Friday Esqr.’ from ‘Jacobi Kloest’. In English.
