Paper: Russian machine-made paper without labels. Writing style: half-uncial script. The body text has Cyrillic numeric pagination (scriber’s). Decoration: headings and initials with vermilion and red inks; headpieces with floral ornament (f. 1, 3, 7, 35, 40, 47, 52, 60, 67, 73, 78, 83, 87, 93, 98, 104, 110, 132, 138, 139, 142, 147, 152, 154, 157, 162); initials with floral ornament (f. 119, 123, 127-129, 132-136, 185-187); end-pieces with floral ornament (f. 7, 67, 73, 110, 138); end-pieces with floral ornament and added with the so-called style Playing Text [игра текстом] - triangle-shaped objects (f. 40, 83, 97, 120); end-pieces in Playing Text (f. 28, 87, 149); schematic end-pieces (f. 123, 132); schematic and added with Playing Text [игра текстом] end-pieces – triangle-shaped objects (f. 169).
The body text contains the order of service for Those Who Left without a Church Service [лишившиеся соборной службы], Menologium, prayers, The Dismissal (prayers of blessing), the Computus to determine the calendar date of Easter in 1868-1939, and a lunar calendar. The rite of a removal of the deceased and the rite for the burial of infants were added in the 3rd quarter of the 20th century. Binding: 2nd half of the 19th century, wooden binding, leather, textile, 2 clasps. Reader’s notes and textile bookmarks. Enclosure: abbreviations for days of the week (manuscript of the 1990s). 1867 (dating was made according to the Computus, starts from 1868), with texts added in the 3rd quarter of the 20th century.
8° (size of book block – 173 mm х 107 mm, binding size - 187 mm х 110 mm, binding height – 46 mm). Enclosure – 1 f. (166 mm х 52 mm); 187 f. = f. I-II + 1-179 (1867) + 180-187 (texts added in the 3rd quarter of the 20th century). 1 f. (enclosure); Condition: satisfactory. The manuscript was acquired and texts were added by the community of Old believers-pilgrims living in the Tomsk-Chulym taiga. The manuscript has traces of old restoration: binding was changed and restored, flyleafs and closures were changed. Restoration date – 3rd quarter of the 20th century. Place of restoration – Taiga skit of the Old Believers–Pilgrims.
