- Scope & Content:
- Paper: Russian machine-made paper with an unidentified stamp (under impression print, f. 6). Writing style: half-uncial script by several hands. Cyrillic numeric pagination (scribers’). Decoration: headings and initials with red inks, initials with floral ornament (f. 40, 41, 44); end-piece in the so-called style Playing Text [игра текстом] – triangle-shaped objects (f. 38). The manuscript contains requiem services and prayers, for instance, burial for infants and the persons who died during Easter week. Binding: 1960s, cardboard, artificial leather. Enclosure: requiem service to be administered without a priest. 8º, size of book blocks –180 mm x 113 mm, binding size – 200 mm x 128 mm, binding height – 15 mm. Enclosure – 6 f. (180 x 113 mm); 46 f.; Condition: satisfactory. The binding is severely damaged due to fire. The manuscript was made in the community of Old believers-pilgrims living in the Tomsk-Chulym taiga.
