- Scope & Content:
- Paper: school notebook. Writing style: half-uncial script by two hands. Cyrillic numeric pagination (reader’s). The text is written with a nib pen (f. 1-4) and ballpoint pen (f. 5-8), f. 4-5 are empty. The difference between writing instruments gives grounds for the hypothesis that the 1st part of the manuscript was written in the 3rd quarter of the 20th century; the second part – in the 4th quarter of the 20th century. Decoration: headings and thin initials with red inks (nib pen and ballpoint pen). The manuscript contains church hymns and prayers to ikons of the Mother of God that are considered to be wonders-working in Orthodox Christianity: “Trojeručica” [Троеручица], “Victorious Voivode” [Взбранная Воевода] and “seeking of the lost” [Взыскание погибших]. Without a cover, folios are compiled into a notebook and sewn together. 8°, notebook size – 185 mm x 120 mm; 8 f; Condition: unsatisfactory. The manuscript was made in the community of Old believers-pilgrims living in the Tomsk-Chulym taiga.
