Covers a route in north-east Chihli proceeding north from Yungping to Chihfeng (赤峯), north-east to the Shira Muren River (西拉木倫河) thence south-east to Ku-lu-kou (not identified), and south via Chaoyang (朝陽) to Chinchow, Liaoning (遼寧). Shows, along the line of the route, hydrology with indicative relief, terrain, and numbered settlements. The sheets bear tables of place-names in Wade-Giles romanisation, providing a key to the numbers given on the map. The table on sheet 3 is on a separate folio, attached to the map sheet. The map is drawn in multiple sections, variously oriented, on the sheets. Both sides of sheets 2, 3, and 4 are used. Sheet 10 bears 'Sketch of Ku Lu Kou' scale 1:10,560.
