The pages clearly were shuffled around in the creative process. They have been numbered in pencil in the upper right corners, from 1 to 46.
The pages have been mounted onto larger sheets and bound in a large book.
See Loan MS 129/1/19 (BL450) for detailed notes on this manuscript.
The earliest date, 19 May 1970, appears in folio 43. Thereafter there is a jump, with all the other dates being August, and out of page order: the earliest of these is 6 Aug 1970, on folio 34; 7 Aug 1970, comes earlier, on folio 32; both folio 28 and folio 33 are labelled 9 Aug, 1970. By the end of this group of notes, only the first section of the book has been worked out, and no actual drafting has begun.
