- Title:
- Lam Tao Kham (ລຳເຕົ່າຄຳ) (1742?)
- Scope & Content:
- This text is started from Phatthakat with five Buddhas born from one and the same mother. The mother Kaphuack made a nest on the fig tree near the river and lay eggs. There was one day on which a storm came while the mother was out looking for food, and the wind blew all the eggs out of the nest and down the river. The first egg ended end with a hen, the second one with a clothes washer, the third with a mother turtle, the fourth with a mother ox, and the fifth with a mother snake. Later, the eggs all hatch, and all of the babies turn out to be male human beings. The colophon mentions Sao (Mrs) Chan and their children as sponsors. The recorded year when the manuscript was finished ([C]S 2285) does not correspond with the respective year of the sexigesimal calendar (moeng khai). Date of original material: BE 2285? (moeng khai year; tao set year); 1742?. 33 folios
