Four sets of colour photographs taken by Tacita Dean in California (Death Valley and Mono Lake) and Utah (Wendover), some of which were used in the publication JG (2013) which accompanied Dean's short film of the same name. The publication included the short text 'Key Stroke' by Will Self (see Add MS 89203/2/4/157-8).
The photographs were taken with an Olympus Trip camera formerly owned by J. G. Ballard (see the note by Dean in JG, p. 43). They come in four sets, in their original glassine envelopes, labelled A-D:
- 'JG' A (11 photographs);
- 'JG' B (30 photographs);
- 'JG' C (41 photographs);
- 'JG' D (56 photographs).
