Commentary by Jamāl al-Dīn Abū ‘Abd Allāh Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad ʿUmar al-Khuzāʿī (جمال الدين أبو عبد الله محمد بن أحمد بن عمر الخزاعي, fl. 13th century) on the Compendium of Algebra (كتاب المختصر في الجبر والمقابلة) by Abū Jaʿfar Muḥammad ibn Mūsá al-Khwārizmī (أبو جعفر محمد بن موسى الخوارزمي, d. ca 850). Al-Khuzāʿī completed the commetary in Ramaḍan 607/February-March 1211 (see colophon, f. 124v, lines 28-29, transcribed below).
The copy was completed on 30 Rabīʿ II 1036/18 January 1627 (see colophon, f. 124v, line 30, transcribed below). A collation note to the right of the colophon is dated 16 Rajab 1036/2 April 1627.

الحمد لله الذي جعل العلماء ورثه (؟) الأنبياء وأيدهم بالسكينة والتقا وألبسهم جلباب الحياء
كذلك إنما يخشي الله من عباده العلماء وصلى الله على بني العجم والعرب المبعوث بشرائع الكتب
محمد بن عبد الله بن عبد المطلب صلوة دائمة على مرّ الليالي والأيام والشهور والأعوام
وعلى آله الكرام أما بعد فإنه دعاني إلى شرح مختصر الشيخ أبي بكر محمد بن موسى الخوارزمي
في الجبر والمقابلة من سؤالهم عنهم ...
