- (f. 1) Phyllis Sellick playing the piano [1938]. Professional portrait by J. B. Rustomjee (signed in pencil). Black and white, mounted (275 x 345 mm).
- (f. 2) Phyllis Sellick playing the piano with Tippett standing at her side. Photograph by Rustomjee, annotated in pencil on the verso indicating the photograph was taken shortly before Sellick's first performance of Tippett's Piano Sonata No. 1 (11 Nov 1938). Black and white (165 x 215 mm).
- (f. 3) Portrait of Tippett, Sellick and a third person standing side by side [1938]. Photographer not indicated. Black and white (90 x 165 mm), the lower portion of the photograph has been cut away.
- (f. 4) Portrait of Tippett [c 1938]. Photographer generally not indicated, although one photograph (f. 17) has a typed label adhered to the verso crediting the photographer as Mike Evans and giving the address of the 'Promotion Department', Schott & Co., London. All photographs black and white (215 x 165 mm).
- (ff. 5-42) Thirty-eight black and white photographs of Tippett and Paul Crossley taken during Crossley's recording (June 1973) of Tippett's three piano sonatas. Photographer not indicated. Each photograph 110 x 160 mm.
- (ff. 43-81) Thirty-nine colour photographs of Tippett and Paul Crossley (and others) taken at Rosslyn Hill Unitarian Chapel, Hampstead, London, 21 Oct 1984. All photographs (each 85 x 125 mm) taken by Jeremy Fletcher, stamped on the versos with photographer's name and address, unique numbers added in black ink.
- (ff. 82-3) Signed photograph of Tippett (black and white, 140 x 90 mm), stamped on the verso as copyright Axel Poignant of London, with covering typed letter (20 Dec 1982) from Nicholas Wright (on behalf of Tippett) to Gerard Leman, Tourcoing, France.
