General purpose map with full country coverage. Portrays hydrology, relief by hachures and spot heights, roads and tracks, railways, telegraphs, settlements, government stations, international and internal administrative boundaries, and place names.
Depths and bathymetric tints in Lake Nyasa, together with an additional map panel portraying an extension of the Zambezi River southwards through Portuguese East Africa to the Indian Ocean, have been drawn in a different hand. Additionally, a redrawn sheet has been pasted over a section of the original map in the West Nyasa/Mombera area.
