Adjoining map sheets depicting Captain Maud's journey in south-west Abyssinia from the north of Lake Zwai towards the frontier with British East Africa to complete a preliminary border survey. The maps are derived from plane table surveys and portray hydrology, relief by form lines and spot heights, settlements, routes followed, camps, survey stations and place names, and include topographical notes.
The map sheets cite the Indian Surveyors as Sher Jang and Shahzad Mir.
Note: The spellings 'Ganala' and 'Ganale' both appear on the map face.
