The material is a draft of the book “25 Malay Songs in Sri Lanka Malay Dialect by a Sri Lankan Malay” by Alibah Rawlins. The songs were eventually published in 1986.

Custodial history: Alibah Rawlins, author of the poems, passed away in 1997 and Gnei Samlin Packeerally, his eldest daughter, inherited the material.
