- A private letter in Latin and Arabic languages, written in Latin alphabet, in which a certain Sati writes to an acquaintance named Iohanne, asking for news about Iohanne’s health and some economical matters concerning merchandise and trading of linen. A third man, named Custantin, is mentioned. The back records the sender's name.

One papyrus sheet, fully preserved, with damages presumably due to folding; written on both sides, with 22 lines across the fibres on the recto, and 2 lines along the fibres on the verso. In the first six lines of the recto, the language used is Latin, but then it switches to Arabic, still written in Latin alphabet (rest of recto and verso). Mounted in one glass frame.

Materials: Papyrus.
Dimensions: 295 x 240 mm, mounted in one glass case measuring 360 x 330 mm.
Script: Elementary form of Latin new Roman cursive; written across the fibres on the recto, along the fibres on the verso. Interpunction signs are used to signal pauses or interrogative tones.

Provenance: Probably Egypt. Formerly part of the collection of George Anastase Michaelidis (b. 1900, d. 1973); acquired with other Michaelidis material together with Papyri 3100-3132 and transferred from the Department of Oriental Manuscripts and Printed Books in May 1979.
