- telegram from Denis O'Brien to Palin congratulating him on the screenplay, 11 Feb 1980;
- telegram from George Harrison and Denis O'Brien to Palin congratulating him on finishing the screenplay, 14 May 1980;
- letter from Geoffrey Strachan to Terry Gilliam and Michael Palin regarding doing a book from the film, 8 May 1980, marked 'No';
- letter to Palin and his wife Helen from Shelley Duvall written during filming of Popeye in Malta, with her latest news and stating how pleased she is to work on Time Bandits, 28 Apr 1980;
- telegram from Jeff Katzenberg to Terry Gilliam and Palin congratulating them on the start of principal photography for the film, 6 Jun 1980;
