Draft version of legend for map sheets produced by the War Office in 1909 as part of series GSGS 1764 to delimit the Uganda-Congo boundary. Photo-reproduction of an original, with manuscript annotations. Titled 'Reference'.
The recto bears the annotation 'with 86-U'; the verso bears a stamp 'Photographed 22.10.1908'.
The GSGS 1764 sheets along this boundary were reproduced in 1909-1919 as GSGS 2471 and bear a similarly based legend. Filed at Maps MOD GSGS 1764 and Maps MOD 2471 respectively.
