• drafts of introduction and captions - typescript with holograph corrections, undated;
• photocopy of 2 pages from a book with a paragraph about holidays by train, undated;
• 2 letters from Pavilion Books to Palin, one asking him to write the introduction to the book, 13 Aug 1986, the other regarding initial material to be included in the book, 19 Dec 1986;
• note from Geoff Body to Palin with attached notes for Palin to use for the introduction to the book, 9 Jan 1987;
• flyers for an exhibition of railway posters entitled 'It's Quicker by Rail', Oct 1986;
