13, pp. 2061-2070. A letter from a gentleman who had resided 30 years in Bengall to his friend in London, on the East India Company's military force &c., there. Account of some rnilitary operations against the Morattoes and Country Government. Copy. This appears to be a continuation of VI. 13 above, and if so is by Captain Thomas Fenwicke.
14, pp. 2071-2092. Journey from Aleppo to Bossorah, August to December 1745, by William Beawes. Copy.
15, pp. 2093-2095. Account of a journey from Bussorah to Aleppo, June 11 to August 1748, by Mr. [Gaylard] Roberts. Copy. Another account of the same journey made in 1758-59 by Surgeon Edward Ives is printed with his voyage from England to India, and contains a plan of the journey.
16, pp. 2095-2097. Letter, dated 6 August 1750, from Mr. Bartholomew Plaisted to Governor Drake of Calcutta giving an account of his journey over the desert of Arabia from Bussorah to Aleppo in his way to England. Copy. Incomplete.
17, pp.2099-2125. Account of the Island of Bombay by a person unknown. Completed in Vol. IX. Copied probably from 282. 1, which is ascribed to [Commodore] John Burnell. A series of letters. The writer served in the military (see p. 2111) under General Aislabie. His first letter is dated 12 May 1710. The second is apparently incomplete. On page 2107 (and elsewhere) there is a reference to the "Packary of Apollo," from which possibly the "Apollo Bunder" may have derived its name.
