1, pp. 7-134: Account of the Present State of the Batavian Possessions in the East-Indies & of the Trade of the same. By Dirk van Hogendorp. Rough draft of 44. 1 infra, with many verbal corrections by Mackenzie.
2, pp. 135-7: Coepang [ =Kupang], Timor, 5 June 1811. Letter from – Hazaart, Dutch Government official in charge at Kupang, to Capt. James Bowen, jun(r) , Commander of the British frigate the Phenix, remonstrating with the latter on account of the plundering of private property, and justifying his own conduct in repelling the British landing force (cf. Encycl. v. N.-I., s.v. Timor (Eiland)). Rough copy, with many corrections. Probably translated from the Dutch.
3, pp. 137-44: Coepang [=Kupang], Timor, 15 May 1811. Letter from – Hazaart , (see 2 supra) to the Governor-General and Council of Netherlands India, reporting the British attack on Kupang, 8 April 1811, in considerable detail. Rough copy, with many corrections. Presumably translated from the Dutch.
