Two fragments of different sizes belonging to the same document as the Sorbonne Papyrus inventoried as 2233; the upper fragment preserves the first five lines of the letter, with Arabic text in line 1, and has the docket on the verso with one line written the other way up; the lower fragment has no writing on the back.

Provenance: Aphrodito, Antaiopolite nome, Egypt. Purchased as part of a lot comprising Papyri 1200-1520 from the Reverend Chauncey Murch (b. 1856, d. 1907) on 20 November 1903.
