This chart is based primarily of Gilbert’s chart, which is held at The National Archives, Adm 55/107, f. 144, with the views arranged differently and the Resolution’s track simplified.
The insert chart is based on Cook’s survey, which is held at the National Archives, MFQ 533 (extracted from Adm 55/108, f. 68), except the outer sounding has been transposed to 22 fathoms, from the 32 fathoms of Cook’s original survey.
