Letter from the governor Qurrah ben Sharik to Basilius, pagarch of Aphrodito, with instructions to provide assistance to three Arab officials who are searching for fugitives: Basilius has to send certain agents and each official will take two of them. A summary is provided at the end. The letter is a copy of Papyrus 1332 (P.Lond. IV 1332), but the number of agents for each official mentioned in the texts is different. Dated to the 7th indiction, Choiak 29.

Materials: Papyrus.
Dimensions: Fr. 1: 685 x 120 mm; Fr. 2: 540 x 80 mm. Housed in one glass frame measuring 740 x 260 mm.
Script: Rapid cursive hand, sloping to the right, with letters extending below and above the writing line. A different hand is found in the last four lines.

Provenance: Aphrodito, Antaiopolite nome, Egypt. Purchased as part of a lot comprising Papyri 1200-1520 from Reverend Chauncey Murch (b. 1856, d. 1907) on 20 November 1903.
