pp.1-65: History of Watoo Gunoo of Gillingoshee. wrongly described in Blagdens catalogue as a Malay manuscript, this is in fact Javanese and is Johannes Gabriel Vincents copy, dated Aug 1812, of Papakem Watu Gunung by Kyahi Adipati Sura dimanggala, and is followed by Vincents Dutch translation. (pp.66-140)
The original was also once part of the Mackenzie Collection, but is now kept with th India Office Libraries Oriental Manuscripts under ref IOL Jav 67 (IO 2520) – [Now MSS/Jav/67].
Both the original and Mss Eur Mack Private 42 have water colour illustrations of the attributes of the wukus. Those in the original are thought to be superior but Mack Private 42 has illustrations of Watu Gunungs two wives, 27 sons and the father of the 27th son which are not in the original. There is an English translation in Mss Eur Mack Private 9.3 (p.81). See M.C.Ricklefs and P.
