Correspondence concerning a Danish translation of H.M.S. Pinafore and a broadcast performance at the Royal Opera House, Copenhagen (10 Dec 1955). Following the success of the performance, the correspondence takes up the prospect of performances of Trial by Jury and The Pirates of Penzance.
The file includes several Danish newspaper cuttings and a cutting from The Times (16 Oct 1959): 'H.M.S. Pinafore Again Delights the Danes'.
